The Zorro IB bridge is locally connecting to TWS or the IB Gateway (see Zorro manual how to set up this connection). So Zorro has no direct relation to the IB account protection features as these will be managed by TWS or IB Gateway. Since TWS is doing a forced disconnect once every 24 hours you will have to use the IB Gateway for a permanent connection. Once it is connected (via whatever IB security solution you are using - I am using the IB Key App on my Android phone which is working quite well: http://ibkb.interactivebrokers.com/article/2260), you can connect/disconnect/reconnect Zorro anytime (or just keep it connected for permanent trading) without having to deal with the IB secure login stuff. Unless the IB connection drops for some reason (network outage etc), of course.
