And even if you're able to record and recreate the depth, moving your head will break the illusion. I'm sure that some day (stereoscopic) VR videos will work properly but until then only live rendered content is capable of giving you that 'immersion' which everyone is talking about wink


they work properly and are very impressive. i watched some examples over a year ago already.

i don't quite get how they do it (especially with that rig) but blender can render stereoscopic 360° videos too. they did a short example scene from caminandes.

without 3d i also find 360° videos not that compelling.
