I realized if you want to test real performance it is better to test run the project in standalone mode, and fps can be written out by a console command stat_fps.
It runs fine in 1366x768, even with 400 animated characters onscreen (with LOD, the same I use in 3DGS) and some thousand instanced static mesh trees, having billboard LOD (shader can be get from LandscapeMountains demo). A desert scene could perform even better laugh
