2. No. I'm not going to know, but there is no "acceptable" in exploiting bugs. However, read on:

The problem right now is that hMod is not being continued anymore, and the replacement "Bukkit" is far from being working. So I am reverting the server to vanilla. That means that protected zones are gone, item spawning is enabled again for all mods and money isn't going to be there anymore.

So to answer #2: Just ask a mod.
