Zula

This is not my game, this MMOFPS AAA title is created with A8 Engine by Turkish developers MadByte. I just found that this fantastic game is not in showchase.

The game is free and can be downloaded from the website

Yeah I already played that, awesome gameplay, balance and decent graphics! Still shows what you can achieve with A8 and a Team. It´s very successfull in Turkey! The lag compensation and network code is very good! Definitely worth playing!

Wow, a multiplayer game based on 3DGS using xigncode o.o
It will be destroyed by hackers soon xD
Doesnt look bad but texture resolution is kinda low and some sprites are looking ugly (minimap for example), ragdolls look pretty good

EDIT: I miss a sprint feature frown

I also miss sprinting grin

Hacking it should not be that easy, they were releasing dev vids and they showed that everything is done serverside and checked via a database.

yes I remember project zula from the forum screenshots posted once here , this is the type of things that needs to be developed here , but most users here are too lone-wolf like , I wonder what the development time was and how many they were and how they accomplished most of the project difficulties with gs , sad actually that they don't share their experience here on the forum , but well guess you can't blame them .

@George ,how about an interview with them?

, well what did you expect, the latest crysis 3 graphics? tongue It needs to run on slower computers too (its released in Turkey), not only the latest pc rigs.

, there was recently a thread about why there are so few teams/bigger projects for GS3d and the conclusion sort of was that working in teams in general requires alot of motivation or incentive. Its more difficult to keep teams together than most think. Besides I don't think GS3d is suited for big teams, gets a mess real soon.

I don't really agree with that "conclusion" , you don't start a team with people who cannot or do not want to be apart of a team project.

I still don't understand why they translate the game to reach out to other countries as well...

good point there , why miss out on a bigger fan base ?

I guess they feel like it wouldn't do good in other countries if you look at it competition wise or well anyones guess is as good as ours , but well only they can answer such things .
