Gamestudio Trailer: Showreel (Winter 2011)
2011 is almost over. Time for an overworked version of the Gamestudio showreel! Many people criticised that some projects didn`t look good enough to be in an official video. So I kept just the best looking projects and added new gameplay scenes and games (Superku, Skulls, KarBOOM). The cut is slower now. Music is still the same and composed by Kevin "LoudCore" Greenlee exclusivly for the trailer. For the tools:
Show something with blender(we have fbx import).
Show something in C#(we have a usefull C# wrapper).
Those 2 things are more mainstream and people might know them. And might think "oh, i can use my tools to work with this engine?".
Gamestudio has possibillities for using it in other environments, but thats always left behind v.v

I ran in trouble when using fbx blender -> GS. The models vertices got moved to foreign positions.
Wish Ventilater could update his phyton export script to the new blender version.

Yes, there are ceratin problems with Blender FBX (and also OBJ) export. I`m building my levels in Blender 2.60 and then use Blender 2.49 for exporting by using Ventilators .$$m expoert script. @Ventilator: It would be awesome and important to have a working Gamestudio exporter for Blender 2.60. Any chance to get it in near future? @Trailer: The Wasteland guys don`t want to be in the video just like Crew51 with Call of Death. I`ll capture KarBOOM, Silas and SkullS now and then see how it comes out. So many great projects and so little authorizations. Especially Call of Death, Wasteland and Battle for Forgol look great .

The overwoked, second edition of the trailer is now online. I changed the music a bit by remixing it (softer beginning) and deleted the editors. KarBOOM, Skulls and Silas is new. What do you think? I think it`s pretty good now. -> http://youtu.be/9AaGiaFKR08

Thanks for the inclusion! I don't know how many of Hummel's videos you can fit in there, but I personally find his winter terrain video really beautiful. Still, the selection you've chosen shows a lot of variety in game-type and visual style while looking very good (I can't look at KarBOOM as an audience might, but all the other samples look great!) Did you have every mutator enabled in the KarBOOM video? Oh, and just so you know, the youtube video description doesn't include KarBOOM. I see you've fixed it -- thanks!

Yes I had every mutator enabled. Let's go the whole hog. The winter terrain demo is nice, but it`s a bit difficult to capture it for the trailer because the level is pretty small and the movement script is too fast. I think the trailer is now official and final. JCL has added it to the main website (without my assistance). Thanks for your help on improving the trailer! Thank you for letting me show your projects. I hope you enjoy the final video. Next update will be in Summer 2012 with Battle for Forgol (hopefully), Superku release version and Wasteland.
