I see, oh well. Then... I don't envy new users that come to Zorro. Those poor suckers are in for a ride to get majorly confused, haha. Thankfully, I am over this little hurdle for now and setf(PlotMode,PL_ALL); is going to be part of any script I write in the future. wink

Checked FXCM DLL, mine has and had the correct date all along.

I updated a live version from 1.58 to 1.74 and suddenly got errors like:

Error 075 ((USD/JPY::S)): Can't open 3@106.03 at 02:41:09

in MT4-Log I find:

2018.02.16 03:41:18.448 Zorro EURUSD,H4: Order failed - invalid trade volume
2018.02.16 03:41:18.448 Zorro EURUSD,H4: Open USDJPY 0.03@106.01 stop 110.51 slp 10 magic 42380 factor 10

Why did MT4 interpreted Zorro's 3 lots as 0.03 lots or what has changed from 1.58 to 1.74 that could cause this?

Have you closed all old trades, and updated the old bridge before starting with the new version? And is 0.03 an invalid trade volume with your broker?

I'm not sure, I never thought about it but fractals in general are ok. But the other points are good, I will set them up fresh and try again. Thanks.

3 Zorro lots (1000 lot amount) are equal to 0.03 MT4 lots (100 000 lot amount)

Think it was any MT4 issue. After new install the error did not appear again.

Hi jcl.

I'm a little late to the 1.74 party. frown I've downloaded it and the 2016-2017 History zip (assuming the older ones haven't changed) and vanilla-Tested the Z Systems to try to replicate the Manual's values to confirm this version is functioning as expected.

Curiously, Z3, Z8, & Z9 match; whereas Z7 and Z12 do not.

For example, the Manual says Z7 and Z12 AR are 90% and 170%, resp., whereas they Test to 79% and 162% - a bit more than the usual rounding variance.

Are the Manual's values correct? Any idea what would account for the Test deviation for just Z7 and Z12?

Thanks.

I believe that's ok. The "Z systems" page is normally made some time before the release, so the backtest results can be already a bit different by then.

Hmmm... Not sure I can consider that OK... I understand what you're saying, but then the question remains: How can one verify one's install of the latest version, latest price History files, etc. if not by comparing to the Manual's figures?

That appeared to be the one solid starting point for all of this statistical "magic" (per Clarke laugh ).

Thanks.
