MachStudio Pro http://www.studiogpu.com/machstudio - haven't tested this but looks impressive. Claims to have a $4000 product now free.

Strange that product, not a rela time 3D engine !
I see customers sections , all are Movies, or some Michima tests scenarios.

Lot of features, but no demo, no game, no demo tools to really compare with others 3D solutions ...

So well, it looks like Gamecore engine, lot of advertisment, but finally lot of raising problems, money was first priority for the developpers of the engine, until finishing to sink !

it is a rendering software that can export models/scenes with baked AO, shaders and whatnot... it is NOT a game engine

Spotted this free online course. Next session is still TBA but they have some previews of past lectures that may be interesting https://class.coursera.org/gametheory/lecture/preview

After what seems like a thousand years, I've updated the list. Removed or updated dead links. I only added a single new entry at the beginning of the "Other" section called Indie Tools. It features a nice list of programs for game creation.

Hi, I would like to recommend a 3D model search engine: Yobi3D. You can search with simple keywords and see the results in 3D. It's useful to find some already made 3D models for prototyping.

Please check it out and any feedback is welcomed.

Thanks!
