This has been happening to me randomly and somewhat frequently. I run multiple Zorro instances on a remote machine and I view/control them through Windows remote desktop (RDP).

Once in a while, after a remote session is closed and re-opened later, one of the Zorro window will be minimized, but none of my normal tricks works to bring it back (e.g. right click icon on task bar and "maximize", or "move" and press an arrow key, etc.). From the web log I can see it is still running, just I have no control over it anymore other than closing it down.

Anybody encountered similar problem? Is there a solution? Thanks!!

I run quite a few of zorro instances on a remote machine and control them with RDP over the last two years but I never faced such a behaviour. What Zorro version do you use and what OS is your remote machine, Windows Server 2012? Do you use virtual desktops? What 'web log' do you mean? I wish Win had a log file anyway.

Thanks for replying. I started using Zorro a few versions back and for all of them I noticed similar behavior. The latest I used is 1.50.

I am running the instances on a hosted virtual machine, so it's actually a headless configuration (there is no physical display). The Windows version is Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2, Standard Edition, Service Pack 2.

Currently I am trying 2 things to see if the problem stays: (1) Upgrading to 1.54 (unlikely to do anything as previous upgrades had the same issue); (2) Using TightVNC instead of Windows remote desktop (RDP).

If possible update your vserver to 2012 or meanwhile even 2016. Is 2003 really still supported by MS? I can hardly believe. VNC or similar might be only a solution if the problem is within RDP.

The VM is hosted by www.cheap-forex-vps.com and I have no control over the OS they maintain there. I'd guess it's much cheaper to keep using the old OS as long as it still works. :-)

I have upgraded to Zorro 1.54 and replaced RDP with TightVNC. So far the problem has not returned, so I am happy (figures crossed).

Thanks for your replies!
