The lit part of the Truth
Hello, everyone

I got a new laptop with Windows 8 Pro 64-bit system installed on it. When I installed 3D Game Studio A8 on it, and tried to open MED to import an .fbx file, I couldn't see the option for it ...

ThanQ and any help would be appreciated ....

Nothing to say ....

Hi MED only default exports fbx

However use the search, the question has been talked about with in the last 6 months include a download for the files you need.

I'm wrong... You have a Med plugin missing or maybe not loading?
You med_plugins folder should hold FBXFiles.dll and FBXFiles2010.dll
Or similar

try this thread
http://www.opserver.de/ubb7/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=450754&page=2

Otherwise I have no idea where to download the dll
Are you sure it's missing? have you checked the med_plugin folder

I'd share it but I have no host

I already have Import.dll and FbxFiles2010.dll in med_plugins folder ...

Maybe it is because I use Windows 8 or because I work on 64-bit environment? Should I "ask the developers"?

@Ch40zzC0d3r
I can't run these apps. It says they can't run on my PC frown

I am running win 8 64bit so I know that is not the issue.

First go to the proprieties and run the apps WED MED and SED in win7 compatibility mode.

Next this must be a dependency issue or so other I do not know how to solve, might as well as the dev, but it's not a win 8 issue.

I know this might sound dumb, but have you tried to just run the installer again?

please go to the 3dgs folder find sed.exe wed.ex and med.exe
for each respectively - right click the file, select properties, choose the compatibility tab , check run in compatibility mode, select windows 7
