If one has been running Download regularly to keep price histories updated, is there a reason to replace this data with new History files when they become available on the Download page?

Perhaps because the prepared History download file is cleaner? Or repeated use of the Download script may result in gaps?

As to my knowledge, there should be no relevant difference between our history data and the data that you download. We're using basically the same download script.
