Hi folks,
I'm a bit confused about this topic as i have taken some time to research and didn't come by an answer:

Why isn't there any historical data anywhere for CFDs from 2002 on any website. I really think it would help backtesting having e.g. GER30 from 2002 on.

In case i missed the big picture, can you help me out why its not there or where to find it?

This has legal reasons - we just have not found a free redistribution license for M1 CFD data from before 2009/2010. If you know any, just let me know.

Hi jcl. I know this has come up before and have been meaning to ask: Can you suggest any quality M1 CFD pre-2009/2010 data so that we could download it directly? That would avoid the redistribution problem, wouldn't it?

Thanks.

No, I can't. We've only found paid services so far with pre-2009 M1 CFD data.

yesterday i found out you can download gold and silver from dukascopy for private use. Dont know exactly how far back - i tried 2004 and it worked. AFAIK fxcm data is only since 2010(?). Not much, and probably not for redistribution - but a start:)
