Ive been thinking of getting a used netbook to run zorro 24/7.

I am assuming that netbooks have the lowest power consumption and sufficient computing power to run zorro.

Does Zorro access the HDD much when trading live and is it worth getting a solid state drive over a mechanical one?

No, trading requires only little memory resources and no HDD access. A netbook will be fine. A solid state drive and a lot of memory would make more sense for training, not for trading.
