Hello there,

I have 2 models which are basically the same except that:

- one has the right model mesh / vertixes closed
- and the other has the right skinmapping.

I want to export the skin mapping from model b and import it in model a. I have tried this with MED and have found the export/import skin mapping etc., but with this model I can't seem to get it working (the skinmapping messes up after I import it in model a).

Would someone be so kind to take a look and give it try?, maybe I am missing something...

Here are the files: http://www.gamefront.com/files/24294591/Models_Reconnoiter_zip

Thanks in advance!

Well, if the vertex-numbers aren't exactly the same, it's not going to work like that.
Kinda hard to describe... the vertex numbers in the skin have to fit the vertex numbers of the model.

But looks like this is not the case, so your skin appears messed up.
Sorry but I don't see another way of doing this. frown

No problem.

The reason why this doesn't work is because the skin mapping saves the texture coordinate for each vertex.
This means, if vertex#10 on one model is a different vertex than vertex#10 on your other model it still gets the same texture coordinate because it has the same number.
