If god exists, why did he decide to fill the internet with people who refuse to do any fact checking when everyone and their grandmother shows them how wrong they are wrong about something.

Presumably politics, but I guess he had a surplus.

God dammit. I'm the last person on earth who would try to claim any kind of expertise on the german language but it irritates me to no end when some people in America who've never spoken anything but english their entire lives (and don't even know that well at all) give me a GERMAN sentence they got from google translate and then claim that *I* was speaking in broken german.

A bit of context: I logged out with the words "bis später, ihr Schwachköpfe :-)" and they responded "Heißt das, Sie zu Bett gehen?" (nice try) then after I left they stated I was talking in "broken german."

DAFUQ.

as a frequent reader of Strategy Informer I've just found today this negative review about Water Park Tycoon made recently with 3DGS: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/waterparktycoon/2357/review.html
if somebody does not know this magazine: in general they write reasonable articles, in case of strategy games they usually favouring game-play over appearance.

4/10 at least. Better than most other 3dgs game ratings.

I find the game looks nice but things like:

Quote:
then bugger off for a few hours. Your park can essentially manage itself, and you don't have to deal with the glacially slow pace of the game, that requires you to either take out a gigantic loan to quickly extend the scope of your creation, or wait until the steady trickle of customers amounts to a flood and you can finally start making some money.

and
Quote:
Attempting to frame the creation of your wonder park is a basic mission mode that allows you to unlock additional items for the free-form mode, giving you objectives designed to ease you in to park creation. Upon completion of these objectives, instead of moving on to a new set, you're instead invited to start over again building a new park in an identical lot, only with an ever more distant set of goals to complete.

are a waste of the game. It is a pity for the developer but I can understand when reading this gets a 4. Adding more different objectives and increasing the pace of the game are peanuts compared to the hard work that has already been done (that ai/pathfinding, grahpics etc.).

the good thing in their scoring system is that they are averaging their own score, other press scores available, and users scores. currently it is limited to their own score, later it can change, often it goes up by a little... register, and give a 10 laugh

, if the developer patches it and solve the said problems, I wouldn't mind giving it a good score for the developer. I would not give it a good score now, cause I think than I would mislead readers (I think I would agree with most points the reviewer said if I would play the game, and upon closer look it is not my type of game that I will review/play it myself blush ).

That is alot of 'would's grin.

So the new Wii U Zelda game (not Hyrule Warriors or whatever it is) was revealed today, and it looks bloody gorgeous.

Link also appears to have gotten a makeover this time around which in my opinion looks pretty sweet:

(interestingly, the patterns on his gauntlets there match the ones on Ganondorf in OoT. Mysterious)

Well at any rate, Nintendo says the game is intended to be released sometime next year, which is good news to me! Though I guess this also means I will have to pick up a Wii U sometime between now and then so I can play it. tongue
