I think the main problem is the slow rendering (non-existing instancing) grin
good luck with your newer group-system wink

okay, here's a video, showing off the skin shading in comparison to default shading:

It lost some fine details but it isn't that bad smirk

@Kartoffel: looks pretty good in motion. Did you do some tests how it looks with facial expressions?

@Kartoffel: Very cool, looks pretty good. (I'm a bit stunned by the stare-into-the-future stuff, this is really great work). But i think this is the best skin shading gamestudio has ever seed tongue

If there is no normal map or specular maps needed for the shader: some years ago I made this facial expression tech demo with a female model, maybe you can try it with these, here's the link: http://www.opserver.de/coni_users/web_users/pirvu/au/demo/zips/bones.zip

just a simple height fog (blended with distance fog) controlled by 3 parameters:

Looks really nice. Is this real volumetric fog or just faked volumetric fog like in Shade-C EVO?

I have not checked it in shade-c evo, and don't know what is volumetric fog exactly, just had an idea today morning during having a shower to create a fog that fades out upwards, and also fades out towards the camera a bit, and add it to distance fog. I just added a 4th parameter as it is much better if not linear as distance fog.

Another tip which made my fog look even better: use power/square formular to calculate fog, so it doesn't fade in linear but instead smooth fade in which becomes stronger in far distance.

thanks, I made some trials with that, I will see what is best (while simple and fast) in the final version...
