I agree with everyone else. This is a really great effect. Thanks for sharing it. I am puzzled how it works, though. I can't see where you ever call the function bonetester(). It seems to be working like a startup function. You never call it in the main function, but it runs anyway. Also, there is no wait loop, which I usually find necessary so that the program keeps checking to see if LMB is pressed. In short, I see that it works, somehow, but I don't see how. Can you shed any light on this and help my confusion? Thanks again for your efforts!!

there is no while wait loop in the fire function because it is only effective once per mouseclick and its not necessary to c_trace every frame.
although there are while waits in the Bloodeffects like resizing/fading out.
for the bonetester not beeing in the main, i guess that is normal havin a function (out side main) and have an right_mouse/left_mouse commend in there.

I tried this in my own level. The fire function will not run unless I call it somehow, as (for example) a wait loop in the main function. Strangely, the decal does not seem to appear on level blocks, either, though the decals show up fine against models. The blood particles always show. I don't want to belabor the point, but I wonder if you could kindly supply the dolltest.wmp file. That way, I can experiment with your original level and perhaps figure out what is going on, without bothering you further. Thanks again for an excellent piece of work.
