I finally could get me over, to make my first game cool
To be honest, I am pretty excited.

Tarrox development video 1

All characters, monsters and so on, will be PhysX based (like in the video above).
This will be useful, for some funny ideas I have for the future wink ...

I have no team, I work alone.
This project is a lot of fun and I am looking forward to finish it.

More videos will follow (of course :D)
I already have a lot of ideas and written codes for those, but first of all, step by step tongue

The sense of all of this is, to get critic, during the development, but also more ideas and tips by other user.

PS: All models I used, use or will use from other persons, are only for demonstrations (a help) and will not be used in the game it self (except I`m allowed to use it grin ) !

This video is only an orientation, so you know, what kind of game I`m trying to make.
Also it would be funny to see all the short orientation videos I will make during the development.
Furthermore, we could see how the game gets alive.
hahaha, this could become my personal "Frankenstein" grin

when u jump its more like ur floating than falling that might need addressing before you get to a beta release.

I agree with the above not much to see but a good start.

perhaps posting a video of the charactor using the sward to slice open those pins and collecting / eating rubbish would have been a much more entertaining video to watch wink

overall though you further than I am in my project.

Ok, this time I changed the jump function a little bit.
Also I made a climb function (also PhysX based cool ).
But I have some problem letting the player stop at the highest point of the block (see video).

PS: Any ideas how to let the player only hang at the highest point of the block? grin

trace from hands and also trace from about half of his head's size above the players reach(f.i. his hands when he puts his hands up), if higher trace is still hitting the block,it means he did not reach the highest point, if first trace is hitting but the higher trace is not, then you reached the highest point.

I love how this project is coming to life. that jump action is alot better now. nice work.

I love how u jump and stick to a wall kinda makes u look like spiderman wink

keep up the good work.

Perhaps add some other game features in now like crawling, going prone etc or is this not going to be the nature of the charactor?
