@lostclimate: I like to see the project but I don't like the model - it's just a copy of successful model nothing else.

@JustSi: lol (who cares what you think)

Actually Marcuryus made a good point. Please dont take it as a negative point or harsh critics, it is just an analysis from a business point of view:

This scene with these broken objects and that television device in front really looks nice. But actually it is exactly copying the idea of Fallout. It is the same alternative reality, some post apocalyptic world following the Einstein age. Thus everybody will compare it with these Fallout games.

But the television could also be a broken flat screen panel or maybe something else.

Anyway, I really wish you success and all the best. If this is only a hobby project with no commercial goal then everything is ok. It is no problem to make a free fan project. Fans will love you for that.

I can recommend camstudio as well. You'll need a little longer to get used to it, but then it's very good, it's free, and with RAD tools you can convert your videos to anything that fraps could do.

I really hated the fraps demo. Time limits, logo display... nah.

i guess i can see how the style is very similar to fallout, but then again fallout is not the only post apocalyptic game either. all though i can see what your saying about the flat screen thing, id like to see a post apocalyptic game that seems like it really is the future from now (though i think a flatscreen would degrade way quicker than a screen like that)

Mercuryus stated "I like to see the project but I don't like the model - it's just a copy of successful model nothing else".

I never copied any of my characters from other successful models. They are my own concept and they are not even close to the fallout armors concepts.

I just google for: "leather armor" "leather pants" "boots" etc etc...
display several huge lists of images both photography and 3d models and pick the ones that were in my opinion more appropriate.

You say that Wasteland would be a copy of Fallout 3, obviously you haven't even played Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 is based in washington dc.
Wasteland concept is far from that scenario.
Wasteland concept is at the contrary very close to a Mad Max background.
Fallout has elements of alien technology
Mine (damocles_'s project) is a lot more "barbarian" in style.

And most importantly.. Why can there be thousands of medieval games and it's fine, but when it comes to post-apocalyptic you all go emo and say "omg ripped!".

Apparently you don't appreciate the developer's diary idea (showing what i'm doing progressively - keeping it alive). Fine.

I'll be open from critics once the project is in SHOWCASE.

Wasteland came out a year before Morrowind.
Thats 7! years before Fallout3.

Fallout1+2 did give ispiration of course,
but also games like Patrician 2, Earth 2150, Gothic 1, Planescape: Torment and
Jagged Alliance 2.

The setting is more that of MadMax2,3 and Waterworld.

(Originally I was playing around with
an Economy simulation. And a Post-Apocalyptic society is
perfect for a bartering-trade scenario)

And its true: there are hundreds of Medival - Fantasy and
Scifi Shooter games, without comparing them constantly
to Tolkien, Jules Verne and Roddenberry.

The Post-Apocalyptic setting is a nice general plot
for Civilization (forced) to have a new start.
And how that would look if some form of our modern technology
and rotten items are used by a society witch lost a lot of its moral civil
archivements.
