I worked today and yesterday on creating a headtracking solution using the wiimote plugin and Johnny Lees headtracking code.

Here is the result:
Video

BUT THERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO READ FIRST BEFORE TRYING IT YOURSELF:
You need to set some vars before running my demo in the main void:
screenHeightinMM this is your screen height in MM tongue
dotDistanceInMM distance of the infrared leds if you are using a wii sensor bar leave it at 215.
cameraIsAboveScreen Set this value to 0 if your wiimote is placed under your screen.

ALSO IMPORTANT:
When running the demo it might happen that you see a blue screen. If this happens press the key a on your keyboard and be sure your wiimote can "see" you. If it doenst work then try pressing a again. Sometimes the script has problems activating the wiimotecam.

WHEN RUNNING THE DEMO AND YOU CAN SEE THE LEVEL
Bring your head in a neutral position before your screen and press space, this will adjust some values for you.

I dont know what headtracking is./How does your solution work?
The basic functions are just like in Johnny Lees configuration so if you want to know what wiimote headtracking is about and how it works check out his video.

So all you need is a bluetooth stick in your pc, a wiimote and the knowledge how to connect your wiimote to your pc which you'll find when searching in the manual for wii or wiimote.

Where can i download your demo/script
Here.

If you want to use it in your own projects i highly suggest to read the comments in the wii3d.h.

Okay have fun with it.

EDIT: Uploaded a new version (same download link) with some fixes.

I like this idea of getting a 3D impressing by checling headmovements.

Would be cool if it can be done with a webcam, (which many more people own)

maybe one day normal PC monitors have such a cam installed as standard.

Actually Slin and i are thinking of a method to get the algorithm work with a webcam properly. Since Slin has a solution for webcam headtracking it wont take too long.
And slin added is anaglyph shader to the project.

I took the code and made it work without shader.

If anyone is interested I can post the resulting code.
I have my own attempt also lying next to it an I know I did some more stuff to avoid the tracking go mad when you get out of range of the Wiimote. When I find some time, I'll add the routines to Puppeteer's code.
