Well then, now seriously.
How big would the interest be in a closed cummunity with only members of a certain experience, focused on but not only gamestudio?
Everyone should have the possibility to read the posts, but only members are allowed to post, so that one could hopefully discuss complex topics and problems at an a lot more professional level than it is the case on these forums here.
Also serious problems wouldn´t get lost between "Make me my MMORPG" and "DX9 or why gamestduio looks like crap" (okay, these titles are too intelligent, even though senseless, but you should get the idea).
In such an environment, it would probably also be easier to provide ressources for beginners at a very high quality.
It would probably very programmer oriented, but I still think that would should also get experenced designers and modellers into the project, as they usually have a very different and often helpfull view of things.

depends. those boards often drift into oblivion pretty fast, for they are postless for days and then people lose interest.

id be in from an artistic point of view, if thats okay.

on the topic of music (prety much on topic for an off topic thread)
with modern tools, all you need is SOMEBASIC KNOWLEDGE about music, harmonics and of course a feeling for it to create music or be in a band. i can do vocals. i cant sing but i can talk and scream, and that, very well. also, i have a natural gift for creative use of a song structure.
i wont write the next superhit, but for someone who has no idea compared to a pro out there, im doing very good.
if youre interested, check fruity loops, its always a good place to start.
and read about midis and VSTi Plugins wink
