There is a THREAD about an experiment, which was about creating a game in a weekend or less, and with constant updates throughout those two days. Watch me suffer, uhm, I mean, enjoy the process of gamemaking, and see my psychological downfall in the blog.

But that's not what this is about, now, is it? It's about the most awesome game you'll ever play (maybe). So what is it?

PROJECTION - Download it here:
http://www.puppenheim.org/Projection-081221.zip - Thanks to Pappenheimer for hosting!

DISCLAIMER: If it blows up your machine, it's your fault.

It's pretty easy, honestly. Have some cubes, build something! Oh, and this something needs to look exactly as specified as seen from an arbitrary angle.

Wait, what? Let's break this down.

1) BUILD SOMETHING!
Use cubes, pyramides and other parts in order to create a structure. Simply choose the part and click where it needs to go!

2) BUILD SOMETHING SPECIAL!
Okay, so you aren't supposed to build whatever you want. You are supposed to craete something with a projection, or silhoulette if you prefer, as specified. Switch to that mode and prove that your structure fulfills that need!

(thats not the case in this shot)

For a more detailed description, just check the included tutorial. There are ten puzzles included. Try to solve them all!

Thanks to everyone who supported us (me & Doof_guy, who is working on his own experiment) in the Morbius-thread. Next weekend, there will be a contest - who can create the best Weekend-project?

Also thanks to Pappenheimer and Turrican for Hosting and helpful suggestions.

I am now looking forward to your thoughts about this. smile

groovy game. well done finishing it!

i did find that sometimes it couldn't quite count properly:

and sometimes i would finish a puzzle but clicking on the silhouette wouldn't do anything, so i'd have to exit and go back into the game.

but it's a great concept, and was fun when i wasn't resetting the game.
it would be nice to have some sort of indication that i've already finished a level, for a sense of completion.

Cool game. I really like it! Perhaps the controls are kinda hard to get used to, but once you're there, it's a blast. smile

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

I realize that the cameracontrol is a bit problematic, as I've written in the ticker, this was different before, but that didn't work too well, either. So that's a problem one would need to solve somehow when continuing with this.

Thanks again for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Of course, I would always like more... smile

And if you think you can do better in just 48 short hours, then why don't you take part in our contest?

and here IS more:
I played it, I like:
the colors
the style
the concept (original... never played a "projection" game)
the simplicity

very well done.
I don't like the fact that I have to "switch" every time, but that's just my personal liking and nothing too important. I also don't know how to make that any better.
