Hello oliver and everyone,

I got IceX and did some testing with it and thought I'd post my findings here for anyone interested in this combination (IceX+IntenseX). Not compatible.. :P

The reason is pretty simple.. IceX2.2 is C-Script only while IntenseX is Lite-C only. So if you want to use these two programs together you'll need to be able to convert the .wdl files that IceX2.2 exports into lite-c first.

After you make the conversion, Intense X can be implemented into any Lite-C project with a click of a button. But if you're not a programmer, little can be done to get these two to work out of the box right now.

Cheers,
Aris

Hey folks,

today I uploaded a new and free update for IceX2 which allows you to export the scripts into Lite-C.

So now you could IceX2 use together with IntenseX. But how this works, you have to ask Larry wink

Hello

At present , if I am not wrong, blocks can not cast static shadows on terrain in wed while dynamic shadows increase the rendering time.

Would it possible to make a terrain with static models ( buildings, trees , walls, streets etc ) with shadow in IceX 2.0 and then to export it in WED, disabling the shadows property of the static models ?

If so, can I expext a good quality ?

Yes this is possible. I guess the quality would be good. If you want to be sure about the quality you can try it with the trial version.

It's not a replecment of WED, it's more another level editor for outdoor levels. The adavantage is that IceX2 is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get editor. You edit your level in realtime and see the results immediately.
