The written tutorial is done, but the demo level needs a little scripting work before release. It may be a week or two before Conitec can release it.

Dan, would you say that your tutorial shows the same work and teaching style that is found in 3AM? I've been meaning to buy a few issues just to check it out, but if I can get a taste of it with this tutorial then I can make an informed decision of whether 3AM works for me.

@Sand_Man, where will we find the tutorials? I think that conitec will put them up soon. My guess is that they will be in the downloads page. But they may also be in the forums. However, the important part for today is that they're not released yet.

I'm eagerly watching this thread since I really love Dan's work.

I use a script called MAX2GS (you can find out about it from a link on the Downloads page) that exports from MAX to 3D GameStudio's format. If you get that script then you can create and texture in MAX and export, keeping all texture coordinates in place. In fact, the geometry will come into MAX fully textured as the script creates a WAD file for you as well.

To all others:

The tutorial is finished, but the demo level that goes with it is still being worked on. There are some scripting errors that are being worked through.
