I always loved shaders but this one looks kinda weird.

erm, what?!? did you run it to see it in motion?
weird? you havnt seen my older shaders:)

this shader simulates/fakes some kind of environmental reflections to give a shiny metallic look. nothing more nothing less. you can use it for anykind of metal, gold, silver, whatever.

It's an update of the shader I used on pachinko girl Atari-chan's dress.

Yea, basically with shaders, you can add a diffuse so in other words:

Instead of faking chrome metallic static look on your diffuse, you could have your diffuse very cartoony with 1 shade of colour and then let the chrome shader do the rest . From the picture, I can see the original diffuse underneath and the chrome effect ontop. Hehe I love shaders .

But, you need quite a high poly model to take benefit of it, right?
