Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to make surfaces give a slight shining effect to make the textures look more realistic, or if there is any software I could buy/download to do this. I want to make some of my textures look wet, and more 3d , such as this -

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Im no shader expert, but yes that is a specular shader. There are many shader tutorials available to see how to use them in A6. Check Acknex Unlimited and the Wiki too.

In the Oblivion E3 Videos wich you can download the TES site they say that it´s different kinds of Textures on each surface. On that picture they are using defuse-, specular-, parallax and normalmaps.

Your 3D art is outstanding you're incredibly skilled

For shinning , some simple specular would be enought like some walls in HL2
But i've seen no simple shader like simple specular here without bump map

It's not a screenshot of his level! He just wants to have the shaders like on this screenshots!

indeed lol, it's ment to be an example picture. Though I have to say, that it looks amazing

I'm not a shader expert either, but making them look like they're wet, and make them 3d, are not done with one shader. I guess they're wet because of the specular shader, and 3d by the bump mapping shader.

Check out the wiki. I'm sure you'll find a bump specular shader oder parallax mapping there.

can´t you read? "bethesda softworks" is the creator of Morrowind3...

test the sphere engine. if you´d like to create a greater level like a sewers system, make it out of models, otherwise your framerate will drop to 12 or so.

a bump specular shader was published in the UltimateShaderPackage (search for it in the forums).
