For thoses who needs a perfect cloudless texture of the earth, and in every seasons, here is a link to the last build of the nasa "blue marble" project, from August 2005. Like this : With topography! go to the San Diego State University Web Site You can get there big images of the earth (what is big, hum 2.2G picture - 21600 * 21600 in png IS big)

Hehe cool, there's a 3 Gigabyte (!!) map you can download.
LMAO man I thought Destop did a mistype!!! That's the first ever image I've seen that is that size!! How would you open it in PS though? It would consume far too much memory.

How could you display such images? I've only seen motherboards carry up to 4 gigabytes of memory. 86400x43200 (interesting texture size (care to split it up into dozens of 2048x2048's?)), would need 11,197,440,000 bytes of memory just to display it (uncompressed, in which memory usually is). I'd rather stick to something around 10800x5400 instead and just stitch a few textures together.
