Trying my hand at creating textures. Not really seamless but the best one i did so far. Used acme online masonry designer for the bricks. Really cool tool if i could only get the textures seamless would be excellent.Anyways figured id post it here. Incase anyone wants it.

heres a shot ingame.

ok tryed another one. A lil simpler texture figured it might be good for a walk way or sidewalk.

a shot from wed.

Uh, 512x160 isn't a worthy texture size. Sorry to say that. Textures need to be a power of 2. The closest to this would be 512x128. Nice texture though, but I don't have any use for it yet.

Nice texture, but Ulillillia is right, it has to be a power of 2 (64, 128, 256, 512 and 1024 are good sizes)

Looks good, I scaled it a little and such and it looks good in the engine. Great job FeiHongJr!

Thanks.... really cant take no credit for it other then the tiling aspect tho. Used this great tool to get the bricks Heres another one. Proper scaling this time On the last ones just wanted to see how they would look in wed and imported them didnt get an error so completley slipped my mind to resize them.
Like towelie said just open them and rescale them in your fav image editor should be ok then

and in wed again.

Used a differnt approach this time. Took a lil more time but i thought it was worth it. Theres still a pattern if the texture covers too much of an area but eh. Will probally make some more later on and will post them here. Thanks for the kind words tho They are free to use. If you use them id like to see some screen shots not only for myself but to send to the company who made the tool i got the brick images from. As they said they would like to see them ingame as well. Their free for use for any project. Thanks to grimber for contacting them about it

Ok not to bump my own thread...its at the top anyways just wanted to show you another one just got done doing. I gotta take a lil more time laying out the bricks so that either A. the pattern looks like its meant to be there. Or better yet B. No pattern at all. Both would be cool to tho Anyways here it is.

and a shot from wed.

Hope that these will be useful to someone

@FeiHongJr - symetrical patterned textures like bricks aren't too hard to get seamless if you want to try. Easiest way is to use an offset filter which will 'roll' the image so you can see how the right and left edges match (or don't match) then you can copy a few bricks over the 'broken' mismatched bricks and use the clone and push brushes to cover any other areas.

Other thing to consider is to look for repeated bricks or bricks that have unusual stains or other marks and work on them a bit. For example the very first texture you posted 4th row, third brick has a dark stain that becomes an obvious pattern when it is tiled.

Nice bricks overall; just a few tips in case you want to go farther with them.

These textures look great but you should use a smaller size in WED!
