I have played around with my A8 WED light settings and no matter what I do, I can't achieve even lighting through my level.
I want everything to be in the same brightness and without shadows. I thought that can't be too hard, but even after playing with every option I don't understand how to do it

Select all blocks, and in their properties set 'Flat' instead of 'Shaded'.
Flat -> Surface is rendered without shadow map.
This will disable shadow map, but will also disable dynamis lights (as far as I remember).
To keep dynamis lights, but get rid of shadow map, use shaders (that's the only way I have in mind).
My other question (but its minor) is the following:
I can add a sprite with transparent parts in the WED, compile the map and it works great. But inside the WED it always shows the transparency as white. Is it possible to view the transparency as transparent in the WED?
No, it's not possible.
