I am creating a road that consists of several road pieces placed side by side.
I'd like the edges of the road model (where the verts meet) to weld at runtime, but don't want them to be a single mesh because I need to use many dynamic lights.

When using dynamic lights on them, I get strange lighting issues like models (the road) will be shaded with black on the edges. Single meshes don't have this problem..

Any suggestions?

Edit: its a dark level that uses street lights.

Hi,
you need to make the normals of the coincident vertex point to the same direction. I got it in the past by drawing the polygons of the seam in the same angle in both pieces.

This piece has the very first and the very last polygons horizontal.

Hope it helps.
Salud!
