You can run Zorro S many times from the same folder, so you need not install different folders on the VPS.

As to the insufficient margin with Z5, be careful to keep enough capital on the account. Grid traders have a high margin requirement due to the many open trades. You can easily have a lot of equity on the account, but the available margin is zero and you cannot open new trades.

You should better not close trades manually. Let Zorro do that. It Zorro cannot close it due to no tradable price, you can't manually close it either, but Zorro will repeat the close command until the broker accepts it.

Thanks for your answers.

Z5 is funded to what tests suggested. I currently only have one open trade in a (expected) drawdown.
Margin is plenty, that open trade use only around 5%.

jcl, having equity show up as 0 looks like a bug to me. Is there anything I can do to debug it?

The equity must definitely not be 0. Is this with the FXCM API, or with a FXCM MT4 account? Have you changed something in the .ini file?

Sorry for the late answer, busy holidays.

Yes, trading with the FXCM API. Haven't touched anything except upgrading from 1.14 -> 1.16 -> 1.20.

Z.ini says:
NFA = 0
FXOnly = 0
MMax = 100
Phantom = 0
Comma = 0
Mute = 0
Weekend = 2
Verbose = 2
BrokerPatch = 0
Preload = 0

Hmm, this could be due to two sub accounts on FXCM on the same account.
Specifically asked for separate but apparently two show up (running separate for Z12, which works fine). It's the Z5 account that have two. Could make sense.

Will try to get FXCM to remove the extra, unused account.

Folks, not sure whether this belongs here or elsewhere - seems like the best place to dump my problem, though. I have recently bought the sZ5 strategy (only the strategy, not Zorro S) to see how it behaves in the real world, i.e. in my live FXCM account. Now it appears when it was hitting the first trade entry level, the trade was not carried out with the message "Balance over limit". I must admit there is more than 7k EUR in the account, but then that's why I thought I had to get the "S" strategy in the first place (?) Had I bought "Zorro S", then I'd be able to also train the strategy (which I can't, I appreciate that), plus I would have had all the strategies and no restrictions on account size. What is the error here all about? (In other words: If there is a restriction on the sponsored strategies, too, why are these sold independently (and where would that have been made transparent)?

Much obliged!

The free Zorro version can not trade with more than $7000 balance, with no strategy.

Withdraw the excess balance. Then it will start trading. Alternatively, you can purchase Zorro S. In that case please contact Zorro support - they'll refund your Z5 subscription when you subscribed it just recently. You won't need it when you have Zorro S.

I see ... Thanks for the clarification. HOW would I contact the support group? Is there an email address? Can't find it anywhere. Thanks!

The email addresses are at the end of the Zorro manual, and on the FAQ page: http://manual.zorro-trader.com/afaq.htm
