I had similar looking issue only when I used a sky model with a dds skin (and only for 1024, 512 was okay), that resulted in some reversed sides... but if it is a sky cube image then no idea.
If nothing works you can create a cube in med, flip the normals and do a quick texture mapping and use this as sky. (I'm using something similar to this)
Btw: do I see dynamic lens-flares on this screen ?
