When I type in the line (in the main function)

media_loop("battle01.mid", null, 100);

nothing plays. The actual file name is Battle01 and its a midi (duh). It just stopped playing the other day even though before that it had worked perfectly. My speakers are plugged in, the volume controls are turned all the way up, but it still doesn't work.

This line had been there for over a month and worked for every test play. One day I test played and realized there was no music. Absolutely nothing changed with the code. It just stopped working one day.

In fact, when I test midi in another game engine it works just fine. Its only in 3dgamestudio.

Because I don't use templates in my game I decided to just put the game folder on the desktop. I put the midi file right into that folder adjacent to the game so there shouldn't be any problems. This is really annoying.

If the file is in the game directory, you might want to check that you haven't inserted "nomusic" or something like that in the commandline

Perhaps this post will get me points for originality at least.

Sorry for wasting your time. Apparently my computer was experiencing a hardware error of some sort. A quick restart did the trick.

Or maybe, you just played another midi in the background - I just wanted to add this possible option
