Nope, he's using pixelshader 3.0 at max, so no geo-shaders I'm following this project for quite some time now, and every new video is more impressive than the videos before. Quite an impressive project.
he's creating them on the cpu. weird. seems as if i underestimated its performance. but then, a good perlin noise algorithm can be optimized quite well.
this is game developing at its finest, truly. i'd so love to have more time for stuff like that.
edit: just noticed he's still using legacy opengl code. ugh ^^
