wow, now that's what i call amazing. one of those things you can't normally achieve with an allround engine - without extending it.

Nice LOD system... I wonder how and when which data is generated and how to customize things in a kinda endless universe and how they handle collision detection...

i bet he's using geometry shaders for the terrain, which seems to be generated procedurally.

Nope, he's using pixelshader 3.0 at max, so no geo-shaders laugh
I'm following this project for quite some time now, and every new video is more impressive than the videos before. Quite an impressive project.

he's creating them on the cpu. weird. seems as if i underestimated its performance. but then, a good perlin noise algorithm can be optimized quite well.

this is game developing at its finest, truly. i'd so love to have more time for stuff like that.

edit: just noticed he's still using legacy opengl code. ugh ^^
