except of "a" they're all nice.

The original is the cleanest.

The logo should not play too much with the font.
Especially if its only parts of the font.

Its a "serious" package in the end.

d is ok though

It's weird how aweful kerning can be so appealing. But keep on voting...

Look at the font -- specifically between the "ff" and the "i".

Yes it's mostly about the subtleties such as the ligature and kerning. The first image has no kerning applied (and no ligature, obviously).
