Virtual Marquette...
The "Virtual Marquette" project is three previous projects combined into one.
My 3DGS work all began by being hired in the Northern Michigan University (NMU) Marketing & Communications
department to attempt to create a new breed of marketing tool to be used for campus recruitment.
Since that humbling experience, I have created other various projects.
Through research and development, a series of procedures now enables me to use accurate Digital Elevation
Models (DEM's) along with Ariel and Satellite Imagery to create very accurate replicas of real places.
The "Virtual Marquette" project is a combination of the original NMU data along with
my "Marquette City" projects data and my "Marquette Mountain" ski resorts data.
The majority of the work has been performed by me with help from a few friends and 3DGS users contributions.
I credit the major sources in the ending rolling credits, the Readme files and the .chm help files in each project.
We are not yet done with this project but I want to share this with you all.
As well, I want to invite each of you to my presentation where I will be speaking at NMU.
Please see the last screen shot for the invitation flyer.
Lastly, I want to thank all you users for your constructive criticism and help over the years....
Thanks!
P.S. To celebrate this presentation, I have just made my "Whistler" project available again.
Now the project has been wrapped into an extracting setup.exe using “Inno Setup 5” software.
Therefore, it also has readme files in numourous languages.
It is available from the download page of my web site.
Please enjoy and have fun!
