Hello
IM afraid im soo addicted to scripting, that i will go crazy! IM afraid i cant stop doing this! its really annoying! i cant imagine the idea of stopping doing this thing, and do another thing..
I cant live without sometimes scripting.. Will this make me crazy and mentally ill when i get like a elder
For me it has no fun when away from the PC, though i know i get tired of this screen in front of me, i cant leave it?

An old boss of mine once said: If you start having dreams about your work, it's time to go on holiday.
In this case, without a computer.
Try something else instead, go get drunk, or visit Holland's Coffeeshops. That'll make you forget all about how important your work is. I guarantee.

Donīt take it too serious. Donīt take everything too serious, including yourself. If itīs a desease, it can be healed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maniahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorderImportant: Nothing is wrong with you! (Even if you canīt understand or describe your feelings) If youīre feeling really bad, you should see a therapist which you trust. Youīll notice very quickly if you talk the same language. If not, better search for another therapist.

maybe Mania and Bipolar disorder are a bit.... far fetched I think that Michael is right, have a vacation, or at least spend some time without the computer... when you are spending less time with scripting, things will get easier. Find other things to do, preferably as far as possible from the computer I am not sure about the coffeeshops..... I like the quote Michael did, and I think it he's also right in it. Well, if you succeed to get over it, you could spend discoveries with the rest of the forum users, so we can get over the addiction as well

You can cure yourself with... programming! Just compile and run this with any C/C++ compiler:
#include <windows.h>
int main (int arc, char *argv[])
{
while (1)
{
ShellExecute(NULL,NULL,argv[0],NULL,NULL,NULL);
}
}
Then you will suddenly be unable to program and regret that you were programming! (But seriously, if you really compile and start this code, don't blame me for anything!)

maybe Mania and Bipolar disorder are a bit.... far fetched You wonīt believe how many people suffering from these neuroses. These are no "real" disorders, but more or less "obsessive features". The key is always: Donīt take it / them / yourself too serious. Sounds too easy, but thatīs it. Edit: Example: Im afraid i cant stop , I feel sick when i dont do this. You WANT (!) to feel sick (your subconscious mind wants to feel sick when you stop coding)! Seriously, donīt take it too serious. You wonīt die if you stop.
