Hello,
I am interested to know from someone who has copyrighted his game the limits of information (files) that is necessary to copyright the game. I have seen here (http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ61.pdf) that video games are to be copyrighted as computer screen displays and that audiovisual material that is being used in the game has to be uploaded too.

What I wanted to know is:

A. How much of the audiovisual material has to be uploaded (all that is used?) and in what format (mdl, bmp, ogg...)?

B. Does copyright process requires the information on software used to create the game, like names and licenses? Do I have to prove/submit that I have legal copy of Game Studio or Windows?

Thanx.

You don't have to do that. You automatically have copyright on everything you create.

Yeah I know but I was thinking that it wouldn't be a bad idea to copyright anyway.

...I also don't know what is situation with publishers and copyrighting? confused Do they accept non-copyrighted material and are those games riskier for them to publish?
