Hay they guys, I am with a game company called Spearbang, just follow the link to see.
http://spearbang.awardspace.com/news.php

I am not sure this is the right section but I will try.

I am a beginner thats why they are not that great, but I still hope you like them. I only been modlering for about 2 months.

Here are some models I made for the game I am helping with.

Thanks, comments will help

Hi Darkjavas.

Nice looking models so far. Good textures.
What I think would make models like these better, is a more conservative
polygon usage.

For instance, the well could be made with 12 sided tube with no height
divisions, and the uprights need only 8 sides with no height divisions.
The box probably has too much detail (polygons), for a game model.

Strive for the lowest polygon count possible without sacrificing the
basic shape of your model. Dont worry about using only quads, triangles
are fine, especially for non animated models.

Good job! keep up the good work.

Not two, not one.

Thanks, I got the texturefrom Dexsoft, and its the fantasy pack.

The poly count for the Box is 372 and the well is 872.

372 polygons just for that crate? thats way too much if you ask me... did you use standard forms to model it or did you model it from scratch?

Yeah, but... Who is Lu?

Nice models. But like Achaziel said, 372 polys for a crate? That's kinda high.

with the crate you've made, export the image for use as normal mapping, then reapply it to a create with only 12 polygons, you won't see the difference
