Hi, there... I've been here in the forums for quite some time. And i've never really cared much for the multiplayer component of 3dgs, but the article in aum 76 got my interest.
I figuerd id try it out over the internet-
-sv -cl -port 5005
-cl -ip -myip -port 5005
this .. is hell, the client (my friend) can't move, the lag gets to him. it does not run smooth at all and thats just with one player.
I found that it runs "okay" over the local network (between two computers) but not with the internett...
I hope I'm doing something wrong .. is it me?

ofc it's laggy, dont use 3dgs native MP system. you cant compare that to ANet or GSTNet plugins.

well, I was under the impression that this could be done with 3dgs.

Well, would it be possible for one of you greater minds to convert the simpel 76 example in to, lets say ANet? I't would be of great help in my studies. I found that the ANet Chat demo contained too much information to be just one short example. So this conversion would give me an impression of what's needed to reach a similar goal with the plug-in.

i'm sorry but i dont have time to create an example for now.
but trust me you can go and start with anet chat demo.
just remove the things you dont need. even better, most of those things you'll need in your MP development.
+ you have a pong example also, but i suggest you take a look at anet chat demo again, if you know lite-c and you're not a newbie/amateur then you'll learn with that example quickly

@ambe: Thanks for the hint! This is a good idea! I will try to convert those good articles, after I finished the pro version of ANet. (But this will take some time  )
