Hi,
Because of my conversation in another thread I was inspired to make a free base mesh for the community. It is free for use in commercial games but please do not resell the base meshes. Of course you can sell any model you make with these meshes though, thats ok. I made two models and they are both fairly low poly, but it would be very easy to lower the counts even more by deleting some of the detail around the feet and hands.

These models are all quads except for some polys on the feet. This makes them easy to subdivide for high res purposes also.

They are offered on my WIP website here:

web page

Here is a shot:

Yes I am. What happened is that I lost some base meshes I had on my hard drive so I need to recreate them. So after I get done with this conan type guy Im building now I will focus on a generic female mesh.

I also have been experimenting with a generic female head which I have down to a science, I will probably like to share that with others also.

BTW. Here is the base mesh froom above which has been slightly tweaked showing the possibilities of the mesh, I have also made this muscle_base available on my site:

muscle_base

These images are just the result of simply adapting the original base mesh by adding some detail in the chest and latissimus, and pulling and pushing vertices. It took about an hour. There is a lot of potential for acurate anatomy sculpting with this mesh.

looks nice, the only thing i could say is that the muscle flow/topology could be set up a bit better. for some parts of it it appears you just extruded edgeloops and scaled them instead of forming around the muscle. although it seems the chest turned out nice. Overall tho, a nice contribution to the comunity, thanks.

Nice job on the musculature and proportions TriNitro. I would add a little more to the rear end as it is a little flat. Other than that it is very well done. Hands look good and feet look good. Nice proportions there. You have the chest done right as it comes up from the waist to meet the arms. Neck is good. Calves going down to the ankles is right. Adjust the rumpus a bit and you have got it.
