Aaah very nice, but still... something... the eyes and lips are a tiny bitsy unrealistic. So close to perfection ^^.
Oh, what does '(un)canny' mean?

I saw similar threads regarding this technology all over the game dev forums lately. But only here I found comments like "...looks uncunny", "..unrealistic", "..not very impressed". I would like to see your animations The rest of the world is excited about new technologies. I personally think this will save a lot of time in the future. Most of the big game companies (Epic, Eidos etc.) are already customers of this company even though I believe the price will be quite high. But probably it is more expensive to pay for the 3d animator to make tons of facial animations.

that's not the point. some articles which referred to this video stated that the uncanny valley is overcome when it surely is not.

The rest of the world is excited about new technologies. Lol, great job ripping my comment out of it's context... I quite clearly said that I had to admit that it's difficult to judge a technology based on visuals only, knowing little about what it does exactly in terms of generating animations. I never said I could do it better nor do I NOT am excited about new technology. I just know I've seen better animations on cgtalk.com already and elsewhere even realtime stuff. Also, Ventilator is right as far as the uncanny valley goes, the technology still has a long way to go before it's anywhere near ultra-realistic, Cheers

Quoting Machinery_Frank. The rest of the world is excited about new technologies. Quoting PHeMoX. nor do I NOT am excited about new technology. (Geez, still at it. Get a room or a ring already.) Excitement is not found here by default, for such 'new tech', and particularly when no obvious, moderately direct benefit is found in scope. Granted there may be some trickle down economic residue. Maybe, 'I'm' just too old, too cynical, too 'medicated', too ornery, to be excited about such things. (Probably, not older than Frank though.)
