I created the code for "Fully destroyble 2D terrain".
Whole terrain is created from only one .bmp image.
Changing of the terrain does not requires code changing.
If you want to see how this code works,here is the demo:

Nice idea, we already had a good concept for 3D terrain manipulation in one of the AUMS series but this can also be very salutary as well \:\) \:\)

Looks really great. You should try to make a game out of this (but not a Worms clone). I'm thinking something like a realtime shooter game, it would make good use of destroyable terrain. \:\)
