Running Food - Playable Demo

Hello all!

Some of you might remember our first demo, posted about a year ago. Well, we feel the game has improved quite a bit since then, so now it is time for another demo.

Those of you who were at the DUSMania 7 have already seen this - all others enjoy the 4 playable levels!

Readme is included, here is a screenshot:

And here is the link: Playable Demo

Have fun! Feedback is appreciated. :-)

Don´t worry, I am still not able to download the demo (to large). Maybe I can download it this friday when I have computer lessons. I just wanted to mention how a game can be optimized.
I am doing these optimizing while I create the game because otherwise I have to rewrite many functions in the end.
But it´s right that it´s not important for a peek in.

Just a short update. The first link to the demo doesn't work anymore.

Here is the new link: http://www.puppenheim.org/RunningFoodGC.zip

We did only minor changes, nothing worth to download it a second time. The main one is:

A child now can play it without mouse, by only using the arrow keys to move, ctrl for jump, return for push, shift for running or turning faster, space for eating.

Just wanna show you that "Running Food" is still alive!

This is a shot from a very fast level.
The player gets only 40 seconds.
It is nearly a level like in WarioWare.

It is a level only for prototyping. I hope you can imagine that it is going to be a roof with a chimney and sort of platforms that appears to be on some roofs.

The player in the middle has firstly to step back, because, if the toy near the chimney sees him, it will jump on the roof and glide right into the abyss!
The toy is turning around while searching. That gives the player an opportunity to jump to the left, where the food is, the food has to multiply first, then the player must eat one and collect the other, and jump to the other toy to feed it.

Thank you! I hope that the next demo will be that one for advertising the finished game!

This is one of different sorts of levels. Additional to this FAST level, I want to add a SLOW level with much time to explore the environment and the habits of the other toys, or a TWOPLAYERLEVEL, also an ENDLESS level like that one at the screenshot, where the player has to follow the rails finding toys which follow him and food that he should find first and that has to be portioned wisely.

looks good,
I think you can add some improvement for your player. the box with hands and legs its not bad, but you can add flexible looks if the box not trully a box.

nb: rayman is the good example for this kind of hero.
