ConTer Demo RC2

hi out there!

some days ago i released my winter contest demo. it's a completely finished, self-running demo with a flythrough in demoscene-style.
at first, some screens:







the first two are earlyer shots, the others are from the current release version. i think of handing it down to scene.org, showing 3dgs to the demoscene.

please download it; give me comments and productive criticism.

die demo an sich find ich cool gemacht und auch das die camera zur musik wechselt aber was total nervt finde ich ist das man 80% der zeit einen schwarzen screen zu sehen bekommt. es kommt eine sequenz, dauert 1-2 sekunden, schwarzer bildschirm, dann nochmal 1-2 sekunden, wieder schwarzer bildschirm etc etc.

wäre cool wenn die cutszenen länger dauern würden und man mehr von dem schönen terrain zu sehen bekommt als vom tristen schwarzen screen

ok ich werds ändern, scheint ja schon zu stören. hoffentlich nicht die mitarbeiter von conitec...
insgesamt sind aber während > 60% reines terrain zu sehen.

Really liked the demo. One idea though is to have more grass sprite models in there.

the problem is the memory consumption. every sprite lays separate in the memory and i've no workaround yet

i've increased the grass number from 3000 to 50000 once and the engine used over 200 (!) mb of my ram.

lol i just noticed that they named my demo "rc2" on the contest site, funny since this means nothingelse than Release Canidate 2...
