Some new screenshots for Inago Rage, (release date has been rescheduled to Summer 2004). All level geometry in the above shots are map entities; backgrounds are skycubes. Comments, critiques, suggestions welcome.

Thanks for the feedback!
How can I test it???
We'll be conducting a second round of tests within a few months, and will be sure to post an invitation in these forums.
What version of 3dgs do you use???
We're using A6 Commercial for the beta, and plan to release with the Professional edition.
By the way, you going to join the conitec 2004 spring contest?
Sounds like a good idea -- though perhaps we're out of the loop, since I had not realized there was a Spring contest until you mentioned it.
when do you think it will be for sale...and where?
We're aiming for a Summer 2004 release. Having had good results with electronic software delivery (ESD), we'll be going that route at first.

Certainly. Setup costs vary depending on how you approach this; while it's possible to begin with a merchant account, it's often easier to go through a registration service such as DigiBuy, Kagi, or the like. These will typically offer fully automated ordering systems and charge anywhere from 10%-20% off the top. Setup fees are usually reasonable, (~$10-$40), and most services do not charge monthly fees. The benefit of going with such a service initially is that you avoid the fees associated with opening and sustaining a merchant account, as well as the administrative overhead of dealing with chargebacks. Nearly all of these accept international orders, though a percentage of them are only able to do business with you (the developer) if you are located within the US. There's a good comparison of these services at www.regshare.com -- a cost comparison is available here. While we don't publish sales figures, I can tell you that our conversion rates (the percentage of downloaders who purchase the game) vary from product to product, with ~0.2% on the low end, and 4.3% on the high end. There are a number of articles on this topic at Dexterity Software's site and Rainfall Studios'. If you haven't already, check out the ASP (some of their newsgroups are open to all) and Dexterity Forums. Good luck, and feel free to drop us an e-mail (support@) if you have any other questions we might be able to help you with.
