hi,
i got a level built with XSI , and i've exported it via FBC exporter,
then i've imported it to WED ,
but i notest that when i build my level with calculate visibiltiy on,
it seams that the eninge didn't generate an BSP and PVT for my level , cause the build time was so short.
i had builded the same level in WED , and when i tried to build it , it took a very very long time to finish,
My question is: if i used the FBX exporter do i still got the BSP supoports ??

the reason why it was so short is because it's all one model (whole level = one model). And when creating levels in wed, levels consists from more parts and that's why it takes much more time to be build. I think that in .fbx case engine doesn't use bsp quite well...I think but I'm not sure

Did u import it as mesh or model ?


I like good 'views' because they have no 'strings' attached..

[cerberi ] i thinks level blocks that are imported to wed via FBX are differnt from blocks that are created in wed , how ?? that what i'm trying to find out.

because when you import all those blocks then they are one single model

You need to choose the 'import block mode' to get the conversion into WED as level geometry and deselect the mesh option, works
