Hiya.

Well, I really wasn't planning on upgrading to A7 yet, but I caved in and upgraded (damn you mastercard, you foul temptress!). Anyway, I was looking around to see if there was some kind of FAQ or compilation of things someone coming from A6 should know? Basically, I'm looking to find out if certain programs that export ".x" files don't import correctly, but from a different program do...or plug-ins for A6 that now don't work with A7 or require some sort of tweak...etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or have any experience with these little 'quirks' that upgrading/dating invariably provide?

There's a bit of info in third party tools, A few good contributes
in contributes. AUG has some good info as George has some good stuff
in the last 5 issues I think.

But it also depends wether you want to stick with c-script in A7 or
be converted and go with A7's lite-c format...

As far as new syntax, There's info in the manual about what has changed to what. So start off in those few places first hopefully that'll get you going..

Hiya.

Yeah, Lite-C all the way baby! I used to know a little C++ back in the day (ok, waaaay-back in the day... ), so I think this will actually be easier for me to use than C-script (which, admittedly, I never really got much into).

I've done an hour or two of forum-scouring, but I was kinda hoping against hope that someone might have did some kind of "key things to remember" FAQ-like compilation. Like a Q & A type post.

Ahh well. Thanks again at any rate!
