Hi,
I have A6 Commercial (which I've updated to 6.60) on my pc, but now I wanted to install it on my laptop. I downloaded the trial and then downloaded the update using my password but when I run it a "CRC Miss-match!" window pops up and it says: "DLL file currupt". What's wrong?

EDIT: Oh yeah and then when I click ok it says "Can't update err. #261"

it's been more than a year ago since I first posted with this problem. I haven't really been doing much with 3DGS so I didn't bother sorting it out. But now I'd really like to get it installed on my laptop.

I've tried redownloading it, from my pc and from my laptop, and I still get the same error. I've also tried redownloading and installing the 6.40 trial on my laptop. Is there anything I've missed? Cos I'd really like to get it to work.

Edit: I don't suppose it could have anything to do with the trial being expired?

Anyone got an idea? JCL? Cos it's really annoying only being able to use 3DGS on the one computer...

have you extracted the key-file?

I think you must install the update on the full version, not the other way around. I mean first install your original version, then unlock with the key, then install the 6.60 update. I think an update itself is only for updating and cant be unlocked with the key.

There are apparently two different problems:

A CRC error indicates normally a corrupt file, such as when a downloaded ZIP archive was damaged.

And for updating, A6 did indeed need a full version. Updating an A6 trial version does not work - you must unlock it _before_ updating.
