hell, i like that phrase:
Quote:

The 3D-Brush software should not be used in the production of any erotic or obscene materials as well as of any products which propagandize hatred against people. We understand that we are not able to check you but we warn you about responsibility before God.

its so tasty:)

looks interesting that programm.. but a demo without export functionality is bad, because one cannot see if the programm works well in the production flow...

Hi everybody! I'm Dmitriy Yanev of 3D-Brush development team. We are happy to announce version 2.02 now out and ready for download! Here's the list of modifications (compared to 2.01):

1) New unwrapping tool, now it is very easy to create uv-set for the model
2) Topological symmetry is implemented. You should define two symmetrical faces to define this symmetry. After that you can flip layers with symmetry or copy the layer to the opposite side.
3) LWO files can be used like brushes.
4) 5 types of color pickers are implemented - all of them are movable and resizable
2) Stability improvements, many bugfixes
3) Focal shift slider implemented
4) Flipping sliders on top panel (Focal depth & smooth degree are also there now)
5) Storing last folders
6) Now you can make your own custom fill patterns in Fill tool. They will be applied with cube mapping with soft edges. It allows to make seamless cube mapping
7) Cube mapping improved (in materials menu): preview while texture moving is now very convinient, cube mapping becomes seamless
8 ) Clone tool and Sculpt tool now uses alpha even if it is not round.
9) 3DB stores window position
10) Drawing performance improved
11) Hue variation is add to color change tool
12) You can pick top layer by pressing 'H'
13) Navigation with pen improved (it was difficult to navigate with pen)
14) A lot of small bugfixes and improvements

Download v.2.02 from our site:

v.2.02 Trial

Enjoy it and expect more exciting updates soon!:)

I just saw that if you want to buy it you have to do it for your current hardware constellation. So what happens if I change / upgrade my PC?

Hi,

If you send them an email with the hardware code, they will provide you with a serial number.

They will even send you extra codes if you use more than one PC.

Another thing I can say about 3D Brush is just how helpful and responsive Andrew and the rest of the guys are. They answer every query and have even changed aspects of the program at the request of the users.

One of the things that keeps me using 3D Gamestudio is the strong sense of community and I believe 3D Brush has the same kind of feel to it.

Well ok but I still think this is not the best method trying to keep warez user away. I could just say that my PC broke and I got a new one and give a friend's hardware code so he can use it. You now may say that this still requires some "work" instead of just "stealing" an activation code that is independent of the hardware. But the big downside is that it also creates work for the creators and as this work somehow is in vain it's not the best solution imo...

But I'm glad to hear that new codes come out pretty user friendly so I don't have to "justify" myself when wanting a new code. I'm really considering buying this as it's a really nice piece of software which makes texturing models way more comforable than via ZBrush...

Enjoy your meal

Here comes good news about 3D-Brush. In this holiday season, the full Professional version of 3D-Brush is offered at a mere $70!!!

In addition, the brand-new version 2.03 has just been released!

Here's the list of new features and improvements (compared to v.2.02):

1) 3D-Brush now supports 3D-Mouse! This device could be used not only to navigate, but also to vary radius/ depth/ opacity/ rotation/ focal shift/ specular.

2) FBX import was done. It is important because it stores properly the smoothing groups.

3) Draw with multiple random pens - use CTRL to select several pens.

4) Presets window. The new important feature - presets window. You can store there full state of pen shape/ radius/ depth/ strip shape/ material/ filler/ color/ smooth and restore that settings any time by one click. It can speed up work much.

5) Export low-poly meshes with original positions of vertices. It is mostly important for users who use Auto-mapping.

6) Pen sensitivity slider in options.

7) The new navigation bar is implemented, it can be useful for those peoples who use pen.

8) New user manual!

9) Stability improvements.

10) New pens. Several new pens.
